Abstract
The purpose of this study is to present a preventive model for employee deviant behaviors in the Tourism Deputy of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts. This is an applied study in terms of its objective, quantitative in methodology, and descriptive-survey in nature. The statistical population consists of the employees of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts, numbering approximately 1489, and the sample size was estimated to be 305 based on Cochran’s formula. The data collection instrument was a researcher-made questionnaire. Following data collection, statistical analysis was performed at two levels: descriptive, using statistical indices (such as frequency, percentage, and mean), and inferential, using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA), utilizing SPSS 22, LISREL 8.54, and Excel. The significance of the obtained coefficients and parameters of the model’s dimensions indicated that all derived coefficients are significant. The findings derived from the analysis of the preventive model for employee deviant behaviors in the Tourism Deputy of the Ministry of Cultural Heritage, Tourism and Handicrafts indicate that, overall, among the dimensions of deviant behaviors, ‘communicational and behavioral deviations,’ and among the preventive factors, ‘organizational factors’ held the highest means.
